Privacy Policy

This page explains what information BrightsideBLVD collects through this website, why, and how it's used. If anything here isn't clear, email Kasper@brightsideblvd.com.

What we collect

Contact and playlist submission forms. If you fill out the Contact form or the Pick My Mix playlist submission form, we collect whatever you enter — typically your name, email address, and message. These are sent to us via Formspree, a third-party form processing service, and are used only to respond to you or consider your playlist submission.

Signing in with YouTube to vote (Pick My Mix). Voting is limited to BrightsideBLVD subscribers. If you choose to sign in with YouTube to vote, Google shares with us:

• Your YouTube channel ID (a unique identifier — not your name or email)
• Whether that channel is subscribed to BrightsideBLVD

We use this only to confirm you're eligible to vote and to prevent the same channel from voting twice in one round. We do not receive your name, email address, or any other information from your Google or YouTube account, and we never post, comment, or take any action on your behalf.

How voting data is stored

Vote counts, and a record that a given YouTube channel ID has voted in a specific round, are stored using Netlify's hosting infrastructure. This data is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any purpose beyond running the Pick My Mix poll.

Your sign-in session is kept in a temporary, secure cookie that expires automatically 30 minutes after you sign in. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies anywhere on this site.

Third-party services this site uses

• Google / YouTube — for signing in to vote. Google's own Privacy Policy applies to your Google account and how Google itself handles your data.
• Formspree — processes Contact and playlist submission form entries.
• Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube — used to embed mix/track previews and videos on this site. Interacting with those embedded players is subject to that platform's own privacy policy.

Your choices

Signing in with YouTube is entirely optional and only needed if you want to vote in Pick My Mix — everything else on the site (listening to mixes, watching videos, submitting a playlist idea, contacting us) works without it. If you'd like a record of your vote or your form submission removed, email Kasper@brightsideblvd.com.

Google API Services disclosure
